Robin Adler & Dave Blackburn: News

The songs of JONI MITCHELL in its 2nd year - August 14, 2007

July 21st. Hilltop Center in rural Fallbrook. 300 people packed into a small hall to hear the "Joni" band in its latest incarnation. This time San Diego's premier drummer Duncan Moore joined us as well as folk singer Peggy Watson and 15-year old singer-songwriter Brittney Doehring on backup vocals. The sound was our best to date and the audience, which comprised literally all age groups, gave us a wonderful response. Thanks to all for making this our biggest and best show to date, continuing an unbroken string of sold out concerts.

June 2006

No Egrets Productions will be holding a benefit concert for the Santa Margarita Foundation on Friday, June 30th, 2006 from 7 to 10 p.m. This special evening of entertainment will be held at the Mission Theater, 231 N. Main, in Fallbrook, California.

A benefit concert for the Santa Margarita Foundation-Please see our news page for full details.

There are four acts scheduled with local favorites Robin Adler and David Blackburn headlining the bill performing the Songs of Joni Mitchell with their great 5-piece band. Also, the great San Diego duo Berkley Hart, who have just released their 4th CD will also perform as will the sensational singer songwriter Deborah Liv Johnson. Opening the show will be a new resident to Fallbrook, the excellent singer and guitar player Chip Hayden.

Tickets will be $15.00 in advance, $20.00 the day of the show and can be purchased at the Mission Theater Box Office at (760) 731-2278 and at Caravan (760) 731-4890.

The Santa Margarita River Foundation was founded in 1984. Its mission is to protect the Santa Margarita River and its watershed.

The Santa Margarita River is the last free flowing coastal river in Southern California. Currently the Foundation is mobilizing to fight the efforts of Granite Construction Corporation to site the proposed “Liberty Quarry” adjacent to the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve. The proposed immense open pit granite mine would be nearly 1 mile long, 1000 feet deep and located in a critical wildlife corridor. This unnecessary project will have many potential and real negative impacts upon both our community and the environment.

Please call me at (760) 731-9355 with any questions regarding this night of entertainment and important benefit. I would very much appreciate your publicizing this event.
